In search of liberation from the insidious binaries of fatalism and technosalvation, Duarte Eduardo (b. Caldas da Rainha, Portugal) is devoted to cohabit Earth in nurturing ways. Their work shapeshifts between sabotage acts and compositions with bioacoustics and custom traditional instruments, where raw and ultra-processed field recordings conspire with an intersectional ecology praxis to spark collective action against eco-terrorism.

The artist-activist is better known for the solo project A lake by the mõõn, which gained acclaim and a grant from SillySeason for the debut album "Life in Warp". Self-released in 2021, all the sounds in the record were created from field recordings of endangered animal species

Duarte’s practice has been shaped and expanded through organizing with activist collectives like APIB or Extinction Rebellion. Additionally, they collaborate with other artists in a wide variety of settings and environments from - food and multimedia performances, videoart, drag, group residencies with 4DSOUND at the Spatial Sound Institute[HU] and Odemira[PT], to being a third of the queercore band bbb hairdryer. Currently based in Berlin.
